The S.T.A.R.T program was created by the American Hotel and Lodging Association
  Educational Institute.The course covers (12) of the major line-level positions in the
  hospitality industry and teach the skills necessary to do each job. This is an eight week
  course with 2 weeks of internship at the end.

  Hotels who are members of the association will guarantee the students employment upon   completion and will pay them a minimum of .50 per hour more than the average job
  seeker with an opportunity for additional training and advancement within the company.
